Contact support

Include your Booklume version, iOS version, device model, and a short description of what happened. Please do not include private book notes or other sensitive information.

Book search

Book search requires an internet connection. If search is unavailable or cannot find a title, use Add Manually to create the book entry yourself.

Camera and highlight scanning

  • Use an evenly lit, flat page.
  • Keep the text upright and in focus.
  • Avoid shadows, glare, and curved page edges.
  • Review and edit the recognized text before saving it to a note.

Purchases

Use Restore Purchases if Pro is missing after reinstalling Booklume. Purchases must use the same Apple Account that originally completed the transaction, and a pending purchase may take a little time to complete. Subscription billing is managed by Apple — visit Manage Subscriptions to review or cancel a subscription.

Reading data

Booklume stores your reading information locally on your device. Avoid deleting the app if you need to preserve that data and don’t have an appropriate device backup. If the app reports that reading data is unavailable, close the app, restart your device, and try again before adding new books.

System requirements

Booklume requires iOS 17 or later.

Getting started

How do I add a Booklume widget?

Touch and hold your iPhone Home Screen, open the widget gallery, and search for Booklume. Choose a widget to keep your reading activity in view.

Can I capture text for my notes?

Yes. Scan a printed highlight with your iPhone’s camera or photo library, and Booklume recognizes the text on-device so you can save it to a note.

How do I add a book?

Tap the + button on Home or in your Library, search with Open Library, or choose Add Manually if you’re offline or search doesn’t find your book.

How do I update my progress?

On Home, use Update progress on your current book to log a page or percentage. You can also tap Continue reading to start a reading timer, or log a past session by hand.

Where are my finished books?

Open Library and choose Finished. Use the Reading, Want to read, Paused, and Did not finish filters to find the rest of your collection.

How do I view my reading activity?

Open Insights and choose 7 days, 30 days, or This year. Your current streak and progress toward your yearly goal are shown alongside your totals.
